HR Manager

We are seeking a talented and highly-driven HR Manager to help us grow as a team and nurture a positive working environment. You will develop and implement HR and hiring strategies to support our rapid growth and manage employee relations in a hybrid setup. You are a strategic thinker with a track record of building and scaling HR processes and systems, with a drive to cultivate a healthy work environment where everyone can thrive.

As one of the earliest employees, you will play a key role for our company. You will join an international team of talented, experienced engineers, designers and ESG professionals headquartered in Berlin.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies to support the growth and success of the company
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and develop talent pipelines
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Handle employee relations and HR compliance issues
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Nurture a positive working environment


  • You have HR expertise: You have 3 to 5 years of experience in HR and recruiting, ideally in a startup environment. You are familiar with HR laws, regulations, and best practices. You have a solid knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • You are people-oriented: You work collaboratively with your colleagues and consider what is best for the team. You have exceptional communication skills, with excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills. You can work effectively in a remote-first environment with a distributed team. You are passionate about this role, our mission, and the people that make it happen. You are caring, empathetic, and truly value diversity and inclusion.
  • You are results driven: You have a strong sense of ownership and strategic thinking, with the ability to set out and execute recruiting plans. You have demonstrable experience with HR metrics. You can identify and deliver quick wins and long-term strategic progress.
  • You have a ”can do, will do” mindset: You take action and get things done. You go the extra mile for your teammates. You do what you say, which builds trust along the way. You have excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems.


  • Candidates must be fluent in English. Fluency in German is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to move to our HQ in Berlin is also a strong plus, but not essential.

We are a remote-first company. You can either work out of our headquarters in Berlin or remotely. Choose the setup that works best for you. Remote locations should be within +/- 3 hours of CET time. We regularly get together at co-location weeks to strengthen a great culture across geographies.
